1. What we collect

Account details: your email address and, if you add them, a name, a public handle and a profile photo.

What you create: prompts, the photos, videos and audio you upload, and the results you generate.

Usage and device data: IP address, a device identifier, browser details and how you use the service. We use these to run the service and to stop abuse, for example of free credits.

Payment data, once payments are open, is handled by our payment provider; we do not store your card details.

2. Why we use it

To run your account and sign you in by email.

To make your generations: prompts and uploads are sent to the AI model providers that run the model you choose.

To keep the service safe: automated checks of prompts and uploads, and limits that stop abuse.

To send you service emails, such as sign-in links and important account notices.

3. Who we share it with

AI model providers, through our model hosting partner, to generate your content.

Content moderation, storage, hosting, bot protection and email delivery providers that work for us under contract.

Google Analytics, only if you allow analytics cookies, to count visits and see how the site is used.

No one else, unless the law requires it. We do not sell your personal data.

Work you choose to make public is visible to everyone on your profile and in public galleries.

Our team may open your content, including private work, to provide support, review abuse and enforce our terms; every such access is logged.

4. Cookies

We use necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your choices. In the EU, EEA and UK, analytics and referral cookies are used only if you allow them. Elsewhere they are on by default, and you can turn them off at any time in the cookie settings in the footer.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete your profile and your files; records we must keep by law, such as payments, are kept for the time the law requires.

6. Your rights

You can see and change your account details in Settings, and delete your account there. To get a copy of your data, correct it, or object to how we use it, email support@melter.ai.

Your data may be processed outside the country you live in. We use providers that protect it under contract.

The service is not meant for anyone under 18.

7. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we will tell you about important changes.
